Dengue is a viral fever, which is caused after bite of infected Aedes aegypti mosquito. Aedes breeds in clean water collection in and around houses Aedes mosquito bites during the day time. Aedes mosquito favours hiding indoors. Dengue fever is a self limiting disease with recovery in 5 – 7 days. All Dengue fevers do not result in death, only patients with bleeding or haemorrhages are serious and need admission in hospitals.

Scrub Typhus-Symptoms and Prevention

An increase in number of high grade fever cases is observed in rainy season. One of the causes of such type of fever may be Scrub Typhus. Scrub Typhus is an acute, infectious, febrile illness caused by Orientia organism. The transmission of this is due to bite of an infected mite which dwells on wild rats.
